Physical intervention trainer programme certificate:
The physical intervention trainer programme course will entitle a physical intervention training course student to a physical intervention certificate. This training course is the newest course on offer by AAB Training after the government announced that in order to teach the SIA private security industry, a Level 3 certificate in delivering Physical Intervention is needed. This physical intervention training course is a short course of 5 days duration and due to its high demand will be on offer twice a month at AAB physical intervention training quarters situated in Westminster University in London.
Physical intervention training course description:
Physical intervention training course teaches trainers to train others on how to effectively use physical intervention skills. Physical intervention skills may be needed in some workplaces in the security industry to manage difficult behavior in a safe and resolving way. Depending on the security risks security workers faces in the job, physical intervention could involve avoiding conflict and the need to disengage aggressive persons as well as escorting and retention skills. The physical intervention training course is a unique training course that teaches physical skills that are straightforward and effective, yet low in risk for the staff using them and the individuals to whom they are applied. The non-aggressive skills will help to calm situations because they allow the user to seek compliance through cooperation and negotiation rather than by force and aggression.
Physical intervention Qualification that will be obtained:
A Level 3 Course Certificate is awarded conforming to specification T/60/12503. Awarding bodies currently offering the physical intervention qualification includes EDI, BIIAB/Maybo, Skills for Security and Edexcel.
Entry Requirements for the physical intervention training course:
Minimum Level 3 Teaching/Training Qualification and Conflict Management Trainer qualification will be required as an entry requirement for the physical intervention training course
Physical intervention training course criteria:
This physical intervention training course does not contain techniques that involve direct contact with neck or spine. Physical intervention training techniques also does not involve striking or pushing. Non-aggressive methods are taught and promoted throughout
