New first aid regulations: HSE First Aid Changes
The essential changes in first aid training have now been implemented, after several years of consultation the 4 Day first aid at work has now been reduced to 3 Days by the HSE, first aid at work training courses are now more accessible to companies as it represents a saving wages for staff who are paid to attend first aid training courses.
There was also a slight change in that the Emergency First Aid – or “appointed person” first aid training qualification is now called “Emergency First Aid at work” and according to the new regulations, this course is also now certificated by the HSE. Previously there was concerns that anyone could teach the 1 day course, which the first aid training industry feel has now been addressed. First Aid courses are available through AAB in the workplace – at the clients venue or on our regular open scheduled courses.
