Emergency first aid training safety talk:
It is a fact that when you do an HSE approved emergency first aid training course, you will be able to save lives. Be it first aid in the work place, emergencies at your home, your community or accidents needing emergency first aid actions on the road. Knowing how to react when an emergency first aid needing event arises will allow you to assist someone in need of emergency first aid and administer life saving first aid techniques.
Besides giving someone emergency first aid assistance, the goal of emergency first aid training is to:
- Keep the victim alive until more experienced emergency first aid services can arrive: Your emergency first aid teacher will train you on techniques such as CPR and other life saving skills that you can use to help the victim in need of emergency first aid to stay alive until more experienced emergency first aid assistants arrive on the scene.
- Prevent the victim’s emergency first aid condition from getting worse: By using your first aid knowledge gained during your first aid training course, you will be able to assess the patient’s condition and stabilise it to make sure their emergency condition do not get worse.
- Help to promote recovery with your emergency first aid skills: If at all possible, you should use your emergency first aid techniques to promote the recovery of the victim a much as possible. This can include putting them in the recovery position, making sure they are comfortable and warm, and reassuring them that they are getting the appropriate emergency first aid treatment that they need.
By attending one of our emergency first aid training courses, we will teach you all the above first aid techniques and strategies that you will need to save lives in an emergency event. Our first aid training courses are HSE (short for Health and Safety Executive) recognised and at the end of your HSE Health and Safety Executive emergency first aid training course you will receive a first aid certification.
During your HSE health and safety executive emergency first aid training course you will be guided by a fully qualified emergency first aid instructor, who will teach you emergency first aid preparedness. Emergency first aid preparedness consists of the following emergency first aid steps:
- Always be ready and prepared for emergency first aid situations: An emergency first aid situation can occur anywhere, any time. Our HSE emergency first aid training course will prepare you to be ready and confident to take charge of an emergency first aid situation where lives are at stake and other people are nervous and looking up to you for emergency first aid assistance.
- Have a personal emergency first aid kit: A well stocked emergency first aid kit in your car and home is an invaluable first aid tool in the emergency first aid field. We will teach you what a good emergency first aid kit must contain and where to get it.
- Know the emergency first aid telephone numbers: A cell phone is always handy in most emergency first aid situations. Make sure you know the telephone numbers of local hospitals and emergency first aid providers in your area.
- Help to prevent emergency first aid situations from arising: Make a point of following safety procedures as set out in the work place, and normal safety precautions around the home environment to prevent any emergency first aid situations occurring.
