Vetting is carried out by most organizations as a result of their quality management systems – even though your CRB (criminal records check) would have been carried out prior to a security licence being issued. Kindly ensure that this is completed accurately – for example a 5 year checkable history, your last school or university etc. Very often the vetting officer must turn down applications due to conflicting information, such as the referee confirm they knew a candidate for 2 years, whereas the candidate indicated 5 years. BS vetting standards are stringent buy easy to pass if the candidate is 100% honest in filling in the application.
