The definition of Workplace violence according to the
Health and Safety Executive is "Any incident where a person is abused,
threatened or assaulted in circumstances related to their work"
Under the Management of Health and Safety at Work
Regulations 1999 employers are required to take steps that will
protect employees in circumstances where workplace violence is forseeable.
